I was looking to change up my work out routine and do something new that would really challenge me. So I decided to give StrengthRx a try.
I wasn’t really sure what to expect at first, but I guess what really surprised me was the wide variety of people who go to CrossFit, and how there is such a strong sense of community and helping each other out, which is something I find truly valuable.
At last year’s open (my first open), I had to do every workout scaled, but in this year’s open I was able to do two of the workouts at the Rx level.
I’d really like to get better at all of my overhead barbell movements, especially my snatches. My technique has finally started to improve, so now I’d like to start to see myself increase in weight. I also NEED to improve my kipping ability which would drastically help my toes to bar.
I don’t know that I have a favorite memory in particular, but I love the “morning crew” and the sense of family/community that comes along with seeing the same people on a daily basis, and pushing each other to improve ourselves.
