Be Like The Rock

This dude is the real deal. Dwayne Johnson, a.k.a. “The Rock” wakes up at 3:45am everyday and does a two hour workout before beginning work on his many projects. Check out his Instagram if you ever need a little motivation.

I can hear the haters now,  “Well, if I had millions of dollars I would have time to train like that too.” Bull shit! If that were true do you really think he’d be waking up at 3:45 am to do it? No, he sticks to that routine because that is what got him to where he is today.

Not the other way around.

Before anyone knew who The Rock was, he was a punk kid flunking school, run ins with the law and from a poor family.

Exercise was his salvation.

He was able to turn things around by his work ethic in the gym. Out working everyone provided him the template for winning at life. He brings the same level of discipline to his career that he holds himself to physically.

The same can be said for many high achieving people.

The warrior spirit lies dormant in most of us. The few who nurture and embrace it succeed at life on all levels.

Those who fully embrace the warrior spirit do not see exercise as something that takes time away from their life, but as something that adds value and structure from which their capacity for massive success emanates.

When you see your time in the gym as sacred you take control of your day. No longer are you pulled frantically in every direction, putting out life’s little fires that manifest themselves through people, places and things.

Instead you’ve staked claim on your day. From that one self-nurturing decision your level of consciousness raises and let’s the world know that your time is to be respected.

Life is a mirror.

The outer world that you experience is a reflection of your inner world. If you do not respect your time, nor shall anyone else. People will take from you exactly what you allow. If they know you will cancel your workout with a little pressure then don’t be surprised when something pops up every time you’re about to head to the gym.

What’s urgent is rarely important.

Save your workout Karma for when you have a real reason to cancel.
